| The publication MAP ONE: jumps (2001) is an introduction of the interests and approach of MAP ONE. The map starts with a grid of words, terms we were interested in at the moment. The overlapping of two terms provokes a new one. This grid of words creates different subject areas, which we combine through out the map by filtering ideas, changing visual grades of abstraction and applying navigation tools (link, zoom, comment, etc.). These connections cause chain reactions, which lead to confrontations and the emergence of new ideas. |
